Your group's memory, on Telegram and Discord.

No. Your messages are used to write your own summaries and nothing else. They are never used to train a model. Message text is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate each summary, and anyone who has opted out is removed before it leaves us.

Yes. Anyone in the group can send /optout. From that moment they are never named in anything the bot writes and their messages are never sent to the model. /optin reverses it. They do not need an account here.

Telegram groups, including forum groups with topics, and Discord servers. One account can run bots across both, and a bot belongs to one network — connect a second bot for the other. Everything above the chat app is shared: the nightly summary, /summary, /roast, /ask, /decisions, /stats, keyword tracking, personal alerts, opt-out, the archive and the export. A Discord channel behaves like a Telegram topic, so per-topic summaries and stats come for free there too.

No — it works as an ordinary member. On Telegram it needs privacy mode disabled in BotFather, which is what lets it see messages at all. On Discord it needs the Message Content intent switched on for the app, plus permission to read message history and post in the channels you choose. The one exception is join verification on Telegram: to let people in, the bot must be an admin, with only the Add Members right.

About five minutes, and most of it happens in Telegram or Discord rather than here. You make a bot, copy one token, paste it, and add the bot to your group or server. There is nothing to install and no server to rent. Each of the four steps is checked against the platform before you can move on, so you find out something is wrong while you are still setting it up, not a week later. It is a Telegram setting on your bot, on by default, that hides ordinary messages from it — while it is on, a bot only sees messages that start with a slash. A summary bot that cannot see the conversation has nothing to summarise, so it would join your group, look perfectly healthy and record almost nothing. You switch it off in @BotFather with /setprivacy, pick your bot, choose Disable. One catch: if the bot was already in the group when you changed it, remove it and add it again, because it keeps the old setting until you do. We check this during setup and will not let you past it.

Discord's version of the same thing. Until you switch it on, every message reaches your bot with its text blank — it connects, looks fine and logs nothing. You turn it on in your app at discord.com/developers: the Bot tab, Privileged Gateway Intents, MESSAGE CONTENT INTENT, then Save Changes. We check it during setup, and the invite link we give you already asks for the slash-command scope, which is the other thing people miss.

Almost always one of three things: privacy mode or the Message Content intent is still on, the bot was added before you changed that setting and needs removing and adding again, or the group has simply been quiet. The bot can only summarise what was said after it joined, so a brand new bot has nothing to talk about yet. The setup page lists these and a few others, and your bot's page shows messages arriving as they land.

Yes. Schedule, length, house style and retention are all settings, and they apply on the next message with no restart. A new bot writes a plain factual summary each night; switch it to the roast, or to Quiet, whenever you like, and switch it back the same way.

On a single server, in a database dedicated to your group. Backups run nightly and are verified. This is a beta: there are no off-site backups yet, so don't connect a group whose history you could not stand to lose.

Every feature, for seven days, with no card. When it ends the bot stops posting and says so once in your group — it does not keep posting and it does not go quiet without telling anyone. Nothing is deleted: your history stays and everything resumes when the account is switched on. While the trial is running, each post the bot makes is signed with a small line saying it came from a KeeperBots trial.

Yes. Message the bot privately and /summary, /ask, /decisions and /stats all answer about your group, just to you — or simply type a question. It only answers people who are in the group, and nothing you do there shows up in the chat.

Yes. Message the bot privately with /alert and a word or short phrase, and it will message you whenever anyone in the group says it, with a link to the message. Alerts are set up privately so nobody sees what you are watching, only people in the group can set them, you get at most one message per word every half hour, and messages from anyone who opted out are never forwarded.

Each night it reads the day and writes down only what was clearly settled — "we're going with Bravo". Proposals, arguments and jokes are left out, and so is anything personal like someone's health. There's nothing for you to maintain: records expire with the messages they came from.

Partly, and we'd rather be straight about the limit. A bot cannot start a conversation, so it can only message people who have messaged it first — a list of member IDs on its own is worthless. If you switch on join verification, everyone who joins after that answers the bot in a private chat, and that is what makes them reachable later. Members who were already there become reachable when they message the bot, which is what the say-hello link on your bot's page is for. Anyone who never messages it, it cannot reach. Your bot's page shows the real number. If the worst happens, the bot can rebuild the group in a new one: recreate its topics, ban the same people again, re-pin the pinned messages, bring its history, search and settings across, and send the new link to everyone it can reach. Your text history can also be imported into the new group, keeping who said what. What no bot can do is add people to a group — they have to tap the link.

To every member who has messaged your bot, yes — privately, one announcement a day, with a preview first. Not to everyone in the group: a chat platform will not let a bot message somebody it has never heard from. The join check and a pinned say-hello link are how that number grows, your bot's page shows the real figure, and each announcement tells people they can reply STOP.

Yes. Mention it or reply to one of its messages and it answers, using the recent conversation and everything your group has said since it joined — in whichever personality you pick: friendly, sassy or straight to the point, plus your own notes. Members can also message it privately, which you can switch off if you'd rather it only answered in the group. It's limited per person and per day, so it never floods the chat.

Yes — that's /ask. It searches everything the bot has logged and answers from the messages themselves, quoting who said what and when. If the answer isn't in your history it says so rather than guessing, which matters because people act on these answers. Anyone who has sent /optout is excluded from what it reads.
